| Our Beginnings |
J. S. Levesque was started
in a small garage and service station by Mr.
Joseph-Sylvio Levesque in St-Pascal de Kamouraska,
Quebec, in 1927.
From these modest beginnings, the business
later moved to the region of Rivière-du-Loup
and specialized in mechanics for all types
of motors.
Over three generations, the company has undergone
a considerable expansion, to become today’s
leader in sales, repair and remanufacturing
of diesel engines, generators and industrial
compressors in Eastern Canada. |

Leading with Quality! |
For more than 75 years, the
entire team has aimed to meet the needs and
expectations our clients, which has assured
our position as a leader in the diesel engine
industry. In fact, J.S. Levesque is among the
top independent workshops in North America.
The services available include the sale of
equipment and parts, repair diesel engines
and remanufacture all types of motors (Deutz,
Perkins, and others) for the mining, maritime
and forestry sectors as well as for the agricultural
and heavy road equipment industries.
Our position in the industry is the result
of the efforts of our experienced, dynamic
and effective team of 18 specialized technicians
with more than 300 years of combined experienced.
Leading edge technology, notably a completely
computerized dynamometer, insures faultless
quality control for engines varying from 10
to 1000 horsepower.
Today, the J. S. Levesque workshop is recognized
and authorized by Deutz, Stanadyne, Delphi,
Robert Bosch, Ambac, Zexel and Nippondenso
original manufacturers for the repair of their
injection pumps in all of Eastern Quebec.
The selection of parts and components used
and all the work performed in our shop correspond
to the most rigorous quality standards of diesel
engine manufacturers. Our clients are thus
assured of results that meet the industry’s
highest standards, within the guaranteed timeframe,
and fulfilling their specific needs. In order
to do this, J.S. Levesque maintains a strict
quality control system, which has been certified
